A: No, you do not have to pay an agency to model. However, as part of your professional development, it is necessary to build your portfolio. Costs incurred may include photo shoots and printing cost. In addition, you will have to invest in comp cards and an agency portfolio.
Q: Do I have to go to school to model?
A: Many professional models do not attend modeling schools. However, iModels does scout at schools and conventions. The skills learned in modeling schools are useful. And if you have never walked a runway or posed for a camera, you may find the education informative.
Q: Do I have to attend every casting or job?
A: If you are serious about a professional career in modeling, it is advised that you attend as many castings and jobs that we send you on. However, you always have the option to refuse.
Q: What if I have a contract with another agency?
A: Every contract is different. Many contracts are “Mother Agency” contracts, but still allow you to model with other agencies as long as an interagency agreement is made.
